With last Saturday marking just two weeks until our major concert Peter & the Wolf, things are heating up at Werribee Concert Band HQ. In the weeks leading up to our biggest fundraising event of the year we’ve been madly canvassing old friends, other groups and any contacts we have.

With a photoshoot for the Wyndham Leader booked in for this week and another production meeting or two with the venue organisers, we won’t be slowing down any time yet either!

Today also marks two rehearsals left until show day, and it’s amazing to see everything come together. For a community group, a concert of this magnitude requires a lot of time and effort to be put in by its members. Along those lines we’ve been doing sectionals for weeks and this past weekend we held an extra rehearsal aiming to tie up any loose ends. We also tested out some very special guest performers for one of the pieces, and they’ll make a brilliant addition to the night!
