Harry Merrifield

Our Musical Director is Harry Merrifield.

Harry joined the band back in 2011 when he was learning the trumpet. Since then he has also dabbled with other brass instruments as well as the piano. He has played with several other concert bands around Melbourne, and he is also currently the Musical Director of the MMG Concert Band.

Outside of music Harry is a keen golfer, playing off a handicap of 4. He was introduced to golf at age seven by his next door neighbour May, sister of famed golfer Jason Day. If you ever get the chance, Harry loves to talk all things golf, just don’t ask his opinion on Greg Norman.
