My name is Rose and I am ten years old. I have been playing clarinet for four years, and this is my second year in the Werribee Concert Band. I chose to play the clarinet as it’s a nice size and is very fun to play.

My name is Victor Jnr and I am twelve years old. I have been playing tenor saxophone for about five years. This is also my second year in the Werribee Concert Band. I chose to play tenor because they sound good and are easier to play than a lot of different instruments. I also think it has a beautiful tone.

My name is Helena and I am sixteen years old. I have been playing alto saxophone for about five years, and this is also my second year in the Werribee Concert Band. I chose to play alto as I was inspired by my father and I feel the alto sax is very flexible with what it can do. I also enjoy how much the sound stands out.

We feel that being within a band that our dad plays in is a very enjoyable experience and is very exciting to be part of.

We love to play music as it helps out family relax and make new memories together, as well as being in the loving community that is the Werribee Concert Band. It is filled with amazing and talented people.

The major concert preparation has been a challenge for us as the pieces we are playing push us to aim higher and expand our skill levels, but practice has become very enjoyable and has helped us bond as a family.

Overall, band so far has been a great experience for all of us because we have learnt so many great new things.
